Sunspots and Sun Damage

We all love to spend time outdoors, but UV radiation from the sun can prematurely age skin, leading to sunspots and sun damage. Using a variety of non-invasive skincare treatments including Laser Genesis and Green Genesis, we can help reduce the effects of UV radiation, restoring your skin to its natural beauty.

Depending on the severity of your sun damage or the results you’re looking for, our clinicians may recommend a series of treatments of one of the following: 

Microneedling technology uses a very fine needle coupled with radiofrequency waves to create channels in the skin known as “microwounds”. This encourages the production of capillaries, elastin, and collagen, smoothing wrinkles and restoring your skin’s natural colour. 

During a Laser Genesis treatment, a laser heats the dermis directly under the skin to stimulate collagen production. The procedure smooths the skin and can reduce the appearance of dark spots, including those caused by sun damage. 

The Green Genesis skin rejuvenation procedure uses a Excel V+ laser, set to micro-pulse on a 532 nm wavelength, to target and diffuse redness and hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage.

Following a treatment of either Laser Genesis and Green Genesis, most patients will enjoy a smooth, youthful complexion for between 6 and 12 months. However, by following a dedicated skincare regimen and reducing exposure to the sun, the results may be prolonged.
