Lip fillers are injectable treatments—typically made of Hyaluronic Acid, a substance naturally found in your body—designed to add volume, shape, and structure to the lips. 

Hyaluronic acid works by drawing water in the skin to the area being treated—in this case, the upper and/or lower lip. The water causes lip tissue to plump up, giving a fuller, more voluptuous appearance. Treatment is administered by a syringe with results appearing quickly afterward.

Additionally, most modern fillers contain Lidocaine (a local anesthetic) to ensure the process is as painless as possible. Most clients describe it as a "quick pinch." The results of a lip filler treatment using Hyaluronic Acid Fillers can range anywhere from 9 to 12 months, depending on the aesthetic you’re looking for,  the brand of filler being used, and your metabolism.  Follow-up treatments may be administered every six to twelve months or so to maintain optimal results. 

To ensure the best results and minimize bruising, please follow these guidelines:

Before Your Appointment:

• Avoid blood thinners (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Fish Oil) for 3–5 days.
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior.
• If you have a history of cold sores, let us know so we can provide a preventative prescription.

After Your Appointment:

• Expect some swelling for the first 24–48 hours.
• Apply cool pack gently to the area.
• Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48hours.

How much does lip filler cost in Windsor, ON?

• The cost of lip filler depends on the type of filler used and the number of syringes required. On average, prices range from $450 to $550 per syringe. We provide a full quote during your consultation

How long is the downtime?

• There is zero "clinical" downtime; you can return to work immediately. However, we recommend scheduling your treatment at least two weeks before a major event (like a wedding) to allow any minor bruising or swelling to subside.

Can lip fillers be reversed?

• Yes. Because we use Hyaluronic Acid fillers, they can be safely dissolved using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase if you ever change your mind.
