Laser Genesis Acne Facial

Laser therapy for acne scars uses a laser designed to specifically target your skin’s sebaceous (oil) glands. When these become overactive, the result can be clogged pores and inflammation, leading to an acne breakout. During Laser Genesis therapy, heat from the laser kills targets these glands along with bacteria in the skin to reduce inflammation and prevent breakouts.

To ensure an efficient and comfortable process for all our patients, we ask that you come to your appointment wearing no makeup. We will cleanse your skin thoroughly prior to treatment using high quality, medical grade skin care. 

• Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen 
• Avoid heat (hot tubs, saunas, etc.) for 1-2 days.
• Avoid skin irritants (products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc.) for a few days post-treatment

The results of a Laser Genesis Acne facial can vary but are generally long-lasting. This is especially true with regular maintenance treatments to keep acne in check. Typically, this might involve 4 to 8 treatments, every 2 to 4 weeks.
